Saddle up castaways because the games are about to begin! For this first battle of district vs district vs district, we're going to start this season off right and test how well you can work together as a unit. Some of you veterans might have noticed, but this season doesn't have an intro theme... yet.
Pre-game nature shots for this seasons intro were not asked from the cast this season. This was mainly because of timing, and with everything crazy that's going on in the world. I know the some of you literally may not be able to go out, it is understandable, however - this will not stop iSurv1vor 33 from having a rightful intro video! Every great Survivor season begins with an impressive opening sequence, but this season we're not going to ~rush~. One thing I know you all have is at least one room in your home that you can completely get creative in and come up with something clever.
We want an intro! And it's up to you to create it.
Old intro theme example:
New intro theme example :
The new intro theme example above is the type of intro video we are going for this season. As a district you will come up with your own concept. It literally can be anything, even if it is closely associated with a traditional survivor intro, but it needs to be great. Step it up, make your mark, and impress our panel of judges. Districts may throw ideas at Sandy, and he will be able to give them feedback in terms of editing.
Everyone will have 2 requirements each tribe mate must submit to Sandy:
[/font][/div][li style="text-align:center;"] 1 normal video shot : you facing the camera as normal you, normal clothes, normal expressions[/li]
[li style="text-align:center;"] 1 glamour video shot: you being filmed in motion or movement wearing different clothes than the first shot[/li] Now, focus and turn some heads. Make us believe you are here to shoot your shot in Oak Creek Canyon. Be creative, work as a tribe, come up with a killer concept, and most of all have fun! If your tribe wants Immunity - together you must rise above, beyond, and not be afraid to give each other feedback.
Aside from the individual shots, each tribe is allowed up to 5 additional, 10 second frames to fully showcase their overall tribe concept for this intro video. Otherwise, there are no boundaries as to what y'all can come up with!
[/ul] Questions about Part 1 can be asked in your skype districts, and further details on Part 2 will be discussed there as well. The deadline for this challenge will be Friday night at 9pm EST.

Me, my boyfriend, Robert, and my best friend David have judged your intro theme submissions. Robert hardly knows what a Survivor is, and David is well-versed in the show. We have the best of both worlds with us tonight folks! We will start by discussing PROS and CONS of each district.

PROS - CASSIDY
David - Semi-difficult transitions - Good grasp on the challenge - Red proudly displayed
Robert - What I like about this video is it appears that they thought a lot about the direction that the handkerchief was going. The pattern caught my eye through each transition which I felt was unique. - I thought the person with 2 transitions was ingenious once Sandy told me some guy’s alternate personality is Lisa Rinna. - This video feels the most consistent out of all of them.
Sandy - The red tribe has a good start to their video with the paper on the ground with their tribe name. No other tribe did that which is usually a staple in an intro theme, introduce your tribe name. - Enid starts the video great, followed by Zach who has my personal favorite entry of the challenge. - I love Tymeka dropping the buff to Haylee, it just felt and looked cool. - This one to me felt the most cohesive.

PROS - GERONIMO
David - I like the added footage - Semi-difficult transitions - Features a Masterball - Green proudly on display
Robert - I liked the Western footages - Really good and unique transitions between each person - Shout out to the smoke scene
Sandy
- The green tribe made the most of the extra footage and really made it feel like an intro theme to Oak Creek Canyon which was the whole point of the challenge. - At first glance it’s difficult to identify the concept, but basic to glammed up does come across at least. - Green everywhere is great. - Alex in the cowboy hat suits our location. Good job with the hat transition too. - Corey we see your cactus shirt it's awesome, unfortunately we see a little too much of something else. - Mike’s smoke transition was everything. - Ida throwing her buff up and it falling into Kirks cup was amazing.

PROS - SUNDANCE
David - Really embraced their theme
- Funny - Bottle transition was cool
Robert - The whipping was a good idea for a transition. - The bottle transition was the most unique of the night. - I want Sharonica’s dress.
Sandy
- We appreciate the theme the yellow team was going for. Out of all the teams this theme was very obvious. - The opening with Amanda isn’t something iS would consider for an intro theme, but it helped set up the story you guys were going for. - I appreciate your transitions different from the example video. - Rocky’s costume was fantastic and Abbie thank you for going all out with your costumes as well. Most of you looked super good for the theme chosen. - Bottle transition. - I appreciate the attempt at supplemental footages.

CONS - CASSIDY
David
- Same person featured more than once
Robert - The theme could have been a little more clearer. After watching it a second time it's more obvious.
Sandy
- All transitions work minus one little one with Lance’s glammed shot, but it’s not major and you can’t really tell. - Some of you are in PJs and stuff in your normal shot and others are in regular clothes, what's going on?

CONS - GERONIMO
David
- Vaper had a weird before/after transition - Mike throws his buff to no one because of a tumbleweeds - LaTanya doesn't catch - It has the worst Eevee evolution
Robert - The footage of the castaways didn’t match the Wild West stuff except Alex's hat.
Sandy
- Ida could have changed her outfit - LaTanya could have caught the buff Mike was throwing and they could have found a better place for some of the supplementary footages.

CONS - SUNDANCE
David
- Dislike the opening intro - Simple/Weak transitions - Only time yellow is displayed is with the chicken costume - Awkward transitions towards the end
Robert - Had an inconsistent theme but at least it was visible. Some people were dressed up in sex shit, bondage or whatever. The theme didn’t feel consistent throughout the video. I felt like some people didn’t even try.
Sandy
- This tribe is possibly guilty of getting caught up in a story or concept without stepping back and assessing what was really asked of them. - I appreciate the whip transitions although some of them didn’t work out so well and/or looked a little awkward. - The kimono on Odd threw me but the glam up scene had me rolling. - I wish Aly’s submissions had better transitions and visually fit in with the rest of the theme. - Also better use of supplemental footage could have helped this. If y’all were going to dance on tables then dance on tables. Amanda being the only one to provide made it feel one sided and a bit off.
